International Business Development
GECC’s to foster the economic growth and development of their members alike. In order to provide its members with the best quality services available in business support, the GECC engages in a series of projects which are designed to help businesses in a variety of fields. These projects and programs are often the results of collaborations GECCengages in with third parties, from the government to NGO’s, to the private sector to follow interested organizations.
Policymaking & BUSINESS Advocacy
Influence the formation of policies at a national and European level towards the development of enterprise culture, to create favorable economic conditions for its members and to promote the interests of a wider business community. In order to do this, the GECC Policy Unit prepares well-researched technical papers on various thematic areas which include economic affairs, competition and competitiveness, energy and environment, international trade, taxation, labor and social aspects, research and innovation and sectoral issues raised by its sections and committees. These papers are presented to all relevant stakeholders locally and internationally and further lobbying is carried out to make sure the GECCs position is taken into consideration. Through its memberships and affiliates in Europe GECC is well represented in various European social dialogue forums.
